IKM Consulting has announced that the firm has been appointed to provide specialist environmental support to the development of a proposed new £24M community hub at Linwood Sport Centre.  

 

The firm won the contract through public procurement processes to assess and carry out environmental and geotechnical work at the facility in Renfrewshire.

 

Initial work has already begun at the site, with IKM using its expertise to deliver specialist advice with regard to ground conditions, risk assessment and cost effective solutions to enable preparation of the site for redevelopment.

 

The development is set to include a new 25m six-lane swimming pool, teaching and fun pools, an eight court sports hall, fitness suite and dance studio while existing pitches and athletics tracks at the Centre are to be upgraded.
