Lauder College

Greenroom IKM were commissioned by Lauder College to design a new state of the art sustainable development centre. The single storey centre provides a new dimension in environmental awareness and creates an elegant, fully accessible teaching facility. Along with the construction and energy departments a third integrated component; the ASPIRE Centre, which develops real work projects for learners with physical disabilities and learning difficulties, was a success in this development.

Students in the College are offered the opportunity to see and experience a sustainable building, to investigate and explore the sustainability features of the building and to apply this to their own learning context.

ECOSpace provides Lauder College with a functional, flexible and accessible learning environment; a sustainable workshop for the 21st century with a BREEAM "Excellent" rating.
